For someone who know a little in- and out- of the world of food, the world of food is complex. The word "farm to fork" isn't just about providing food that satisfy human craving and satiety (the feeling of full).
We do not practice our ancestor's way of eating because we are spoilt with choices. Arguments over processing method that takes away nutrients and adding undesired by-products, food additives and many more have led me to seek what is good food?
Not until this morning, that I heard laughters during the dining experience that I realize we have good food, around us all the time. It is the people that accompany us during the dining experience that makes a food taste good. We felt good because of the presence of those, who can share our joy.
It is true, people have different preference but the smile through happy customers shine proved companion as the best additives for good food. Even ice water tasted so good after a long hiking day because I had it with great people.
One additional feature to good food that I appreciate is that we consistently surrounded by safe quality food even we do not realized it most of the time. Safe food is one of the important factors that kept us from getting sick from food consumption and continue to enjoy our meal.
