A smart pills that can makes your kids and you smarter!
Are we getting smarter with the presence of 'smart pills' especially when it is just comprised of functional ingredients and lots of sugar. 'Smart pills' are comprised of sucrose (a form of sugar), milk powder, dextrose (a form of sugar), vitamin C, flavoring agents, herbs (radix discreet, atractylodis macrocephalae rhizome, nelumbis semen) red dates, spirulina and honey.
"Smart pills" is not for you or me, but it is targeted towards kids as an end user. Is our children being too dumb in their study? Or do our parents/ school teacher nowadays so intense in seeking ways to make children smarter? Or the manufacturer is too proud about their formulation to make kids smarter? Who is the drive towards the distribution of the products to our children? Are we forgetting our aim to reduce sugar in our children's eating habits and obesity?
Kids would love 'smart pills'. It is sugary and with colored pills. The color of the pills came from flavoring agents, that might be originated from natural or artificial coloring. Literally with 60% sugar versus 1.5% of the active functional ingredients, it is like feeding our children with lots of sugar. There's just got to be a way to incorporate that 1.5% functional ingredients into other food formats rather than disguising it behind the sugary treat.
How effective it makes your kids smarter, I have no idea but I know the amount of calorie intake for your kids will certainly increase. Malaysian has questioned it right, are this product benefit consumer more or is the product affects our young children that we are trying to protect?
What could we do to improve the product ie, maintaining the functional benefits of the herbs but not the high percentage of sugar content? Or would you support this product at all?
